Applied Sustainable Aquaculture Inc. Mission statement

Applied Sustainable Aquaculture is a  501c3 non-profit organization, whose goal is to enhance and develop technologies and methods as they apply to sustainable recirculating systems for the aquaculture of marine ornamentals. By finding new and innovative approaches to challenges ASA Inc. aims to have a truly zero negative ecological impact, while at the same time improving models for a profitable and sustainable business. ASA Inc. will specialize in coral propagation with an emphasis on commercially, scientifically and ecologically important species. ASA Inc. will facilitate the application of these technologies and methods to a broad array of industries and groups. Outreach will be conducted through conventional channels as well as new and creative ways to increase awareness in as large a segment of the population as possible. Through the open exchange of knowledge and innovation we will begin to reverse the damage done to the environment while at the same time ensuring economic growth and a stable future.
